Abstract
We introduce our human-centered approach for designing a ubiquitous computing system which aimed at providing better experiences for shoppers at a supermarket. We investigated into shopping processes by using ethnographic research techniques, understood the processes with details, and constructed TPM which distributes a shopper's behaviors and states of mind change into three phases. We also described a user scenario in each phase which successfully contributed to a system design by giving a clear picture of user experiences.
